OPERATIONS TEAMS
The Operations Team is the core of all we do! These are the individuals who lead our mission, train and lead volunteers, and determine how we can best serve the community. These leadership roles involve working with individuals, managing resources, and becoming part of our long-term strategy planners. Coordinators keep our operations running on a day-to-day basis.

2026 Operations Team Coordinators Application
Paid Volunteer Leadership Role | ~15–20 hours/month
Role Summary
The Community Coordinator leads Equality Loudoun’s community engagement and event programming, working with a team of volunteers to plan and execute events, outreach, and tabling opportunities. This role collaborates closely with other coordinators to ensure volunteers are trained, supported, and prepared for community-facing work.
This position includes a small monthly stipend in recognition of leadership and time commitment.
We’re looking for someone who:

Can manage logistics, timelines, and collaboration across teams

Cares deeply about creating inclusive, affirming community spaces
Paid Volunteer Leadership Role | ~15–20 hours/month
Role Summary
The Education Coordinator leads Equality Loudoun’s educational programming, overseeing volunteers who develop and deliver queer-focused education through presentations, trainings, digital resources, and other learning formats. This role also manages the organization’s scholarship program.
This position includes a small monthly stipend to support sustained leadership involvement.
We’re looking for someone who:

Role Summary
The Communications Coordinator leads Equality Loudoun’s public-facing communications, overseeing social media, website content, and the monthly newsletter with the support of a volunteer team. This role ensures our mission, programs, and impact are shared clearly and consistently.
This position includes a small monthly stipend to support sustained leadership involvement.
We’re looking for someone who:

Paid Volunteer Leadership Role | ~15–20 hours/month
Role Summary
The Operations Coordinator provides essential administrative and operational support to Equality Loudoun’s Board and Operations Team. This contracted role helps keep the organization running smoothly through scheduling, communications, mail handling, deposits, and supply management.
This position includes a small monthly stipend to support sustained leadership involvement.
We’re looking for someone who:

Is Leesburg-based or able to travel locally as needed

GOVERNANCE BOARD
Our Leadership Team is comprised of two distinct groups - the Governance Board and the Operations Team. The Governance Board is responsible for developing long-term strategies, maintaining partnerships, fundraising, and fulfilling critical needs. Every member of the Leadership Team is responsible for developing and overseeing our individual programs and projects, which require leading volunteers, setting deadlines and objectives, generating meaningful impacts, hosting meetings, and communicating the needs and impacts of our organization.
