DESCRIPTION

Profiles & Light Photography creates natural, thoughtful portraits, headshots, and family photographs. Every session is approached with care, respect, and an emphasis on making people feel comfortable being themselves. All are welcome.

Answer: Our staff and space are generally friendly, non-hostile, and open to all people, but nothing LGBTQ+ specific.

Answer: Support has included personal donations to the Human Rights Campaign and the American Civil Liberties Union.


Question: How do you promote diverse employment among qualified job applicants?

Answer: This is a sole employee, owner-operated business. When contracting or hiring is needed, opportunities are open to all qualified applicants, evaluated based on skills and professionalism, and guided by inclusive, non-discriminatory practices.


Question: How do you try to create a queer-inclusive business space?

Answer: By using inclusive language, avoiding assumptions, and creating a respectful, welcoming experience where people can be themselves.


Question: What are examples of your queer-inclusive policies? (Do you have all-gender restrooms? Do you have a trans-inclusive policy for your facilities? Do you allow customers and/or employees to change their information easily and confidentially?)

Answer: As a sole owner-operated business, there are no public facilities such as restrooms. Queer-inclusive practices are grounded in our core value of seeing you as you are and creating a non-judgmental space, which includes using inclusive language, respecting names and pronouns, avoiding assumptions about identity or family structure, and allowing clients to update their information easily and confidentially. All interactions are guided by a clear commitment to non-discrimination and respect.
