DESCRIPTION
Faith Chapel Gathering Place is dedicated to connecting community through the arts. It is the home of Lucketts Community Food Pantry, and offers many classes, workshops, events and programs through trusted vendors in the arts including dance, painting, theater, instrumental music and more. It is also home to Faith Chapel Messy Church.

Question: What percent of your organization identifies as part of the LGBTQ+ community?
Answer: Not Known
Question: What are your policies on LGBTQ+ trainings?
Answer: It is neither required nor recommended.
Question: How often do you require or recommend LGBTQ+ inclusive training?
Answer: I am the only employee of this organization and am not of aware of any resources for training, but expect to grow and develop into a larger organization.
Question: Which best describes your current policies and procedures for your LGBTQ+ staff?
Answer: We are in development and under the trusteeship of Riverside Presbyterian Church. We will be writing our own policies and procedures as we become an independent entity. I am the only employee of the organization at this time.
Question: Which best describes your current policies and procedures for your LGBTQ+ clients?
Answer: We have a general anti-discrimination clause that cover LGBTQ and other marginalized groups.
Question: How do you create a positive space for the LGBTQ+ community?
Answer: Our staff and space are generally friendly, non-hostile, and open to all people, but nothing LGBTQ+ specific.

Answer: Connecting community through the arts. Plus food pantry and church.

Answer: No/NA (I am the only employee)
Question: What kind of queer-inclusive training materials do you supply to individuals in or outside of your organization?
Answer: None. I am the only employee and our organization is under the Trusteeship of Riverside Presbyterian Church
Question: How do you make your organization a safe and affirming place for LGBTQ+ people to be?
Answer: Our founding values are Christ's hospitality - that all people are welcome, wanted and loved here. It is stated in our website, and in everything we do all people (regardless of ability, citizenship, sexual orientation, whatever) it is our intention that everyone who encounters Faith Chapel Gathering Place knows they are welcome, wanted and loved here. We partnered with Craft Theatre Co. in the fall in a fundraiser for Equality Loudoun through their production "Into The Woods" (we were the venue).
Question: In your fundraising activities, do you solicit funds from non-affirming organizations? If so, which organizations?
Answer: No. We receive in kind donations and grants from PCUSA (very affirming in my experience), Lucketts Ruritans Club (no position), Cowbell Kitchen, Loudoun Hunger Relief, Christ Church (very affirming), the Virts Miller Foundation, Hunters for the Hungry and individual donors.
