Pride Past and Present: Introducing Hannah Nokes, a Black Transgender Woman from Loudoun County

In celebration of Pride Month, join historian Amy Bertsch for a discussion about the life and legacy of Hannah Nokes, a Loudoun native who made headlines for her gender nonconformity in the 1930s.

Following her talk, Amy will sell and sign copies of Queer Virginia: New Stories in the Old Dominion, published by the University of Virginia Press. Books available for purchase.
