About the event

In celebration of Pride Month, join historian Amy Bertsch for a discussion about the life and legacy of Hannah Nokes, a Loudoun native who made headlines for her gender nonconformity in the 1930s.


Following her talk, Amy will sell and sign copies of Queer Virginia: New Stories in the Old Dominion, published by the University of Virginia Press. Books available for purchase.


The event is free and open to the public. Advance reservations are not required.
